ST CUTHBERT’S WAY PILGRIMAGE
DAY 7
WOOLER TO FENWICK
(Approx 11.5 miles)
We journeyed across Weetwood Moor
We descended into the lovely Till Valley.
The River Till at the bottom of the valley
After the damp, snow capped hills and boggy walking, day seven was a stunning day.
At this point on the hills we discovered these lovely handmade signs one carved into a rock and painted.
We paused by this Cuthbert Way marker for short break, before pushing on to Cuddies Cave
The green of the fields was so luscious on this part of the journey
We made it to St Cuthbert’s Cave!
The stones around Cuthbert’s Cave are beautifully carved with family memorials.
The stones here are so huge and so ancient.
Now into some broad forestry paths in Kyloe Old Wood.
One of our first views of the sea and Holy Island
